Sunday 7 June 2026
Hi everyone,
May is now behind us, and this week it really feels like winter has arrived. With May over, it’s also a good opportunity to reflect on our church conference season. I’ve heard so many encouraging stories from both Grace Conference and Adelaide Men’s Convention. What a wonderful time it has been! It was a real joy to gather, to hear God’s Word taught, and be reminded of God’s goodness to us.
Last Sunday we jumped back into Luke’s Gospel. We’ve been slowly making our way through this book since December 2023, and we’re now finally in the last chapter. And what a cracker of a chapter it is! Luke 24 follows the risen Jesus. Remember the resurrection is at the very heart of our faith, so this is an important chapter.
This week Tom is preaching. We’re still with the two travellers on the road to Emmaus, but in this passage they come to a remarkable realisation about who they are walking with (or rather, who they are sharing a meal with)!
Please also be praying for our Hope Explored course. Pray that those attending would come with open hearts, that conversations would be honest and meaningful, and that the participants would see Jesus clearly.
Thank you for your prayers.
Grace and peace,
Karl
