Hi everyone!
I’ve really enjoyed looking at Luke 24 over the last few weeks. The resurrection of Jesus is so important for us as Christians. The apostle Paul puts it so clearly in 1 Corinthians 15:
And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith….
And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost.
As Christians, our justification, our future hope, all rely on the resurrection of Jesus being a historical event. I’m so grateful for the careful way that Luke lays down the evidence of the resurrection in Luke 24. As I’ve read and re-read this chapter, Luke’s words have felt like layer upon layer of certainty. I hope this chapter and our recent series have strengthened your confidence in the resurrection of Jesus and in our future bodily resurrection.
We’ve got one more week to go in Luke 24. This week, Jack will be taking us through the last few verses that address Jesus’ ascension. I hope you can make it. Then, for the following three weeks, we’ll be turning our attention to a book of the Bible we’ve not studied at Trinity Church Unley before: Micah.
Three things for your attention:

We will celebrate our partnership in sharing the gospel across the world and consider how sharing the good news of Jesus is for our good and his glory.
Make the Annual Online Dinner a night of fellowship. Here are a few ideas on how…
- Gather a group to meet in your own home.
- Get creative with dinner, dessert and decorations…think globally – there are lots of international take-away options.
- Invite someone new along!
God bless,
Karl
