Hi everyone!
We’re moving our Sunday morning gathering to Unley Primary School. This Sunday, 20 September, will be our last Sunday morning gathered at BCSA. I’m both excited about the change and a little bit sad to be moving on from BCSA. We’ve been meeting at 176 Wattle Street, Malvern, since 4 February 2018. In that time, we’ve met together more than 400 times (and remember we also met lots of times online in 2020)! So I think it’s right to feel a little nostalgic and a little sad as we come to the end of this chapter.
But the move is a good thing for our church. We long to see disciples who remain in Jesus, established in love and equipped for service. We long to see leaders raised up, ministry teams strengthened, and future church plants launched from Trinity Church Unley. Moving to a larger venue is an investment in that longing and vision. Our new venue will create space for more disciples, more leaders, and ultimately helps us move towards being a more healthy, multiplying church.
While this is a big change, many things will still be familiar. It will still feel like Trinity Church Unley. The faces will still be familiar. We’re even continuing with our current Knowing God series. And you’ll still be able to get a cup of hot coffee or tea before and after the service!
Sunday 27 September – Our first Sunday Meeting At Unley Primary School
On Sunday 27 September, we’re planning to have a BYO picnic lunch straight after our service. There’s a playground and lawn area at the school, making it an excellent venue for a picnic. This will also give everyone a chance to check out the new venue, while enjoying some lunch and maybe a bit of cricket. So please plan to stay on after the service. I’m hoping this a great way for us to begin this new chapter together.
Our public launch at Unley Primary School won’t be until Sunday 18 October. Of course, we welcome newcomers and visitors at any time, but if you’re planning to invite someone along to our new location, I’d suggest holding off until 18 October. That will give us a few weeks together to iron out the inevitable bumps and get everything running smoothly.

This Sunday
Ian Saunders will be taking us through the topic of Adoption.
As Christians, we’re able to call God our Father. We have been adopted as his children, with all the rights and benefits that come with being part of his family.
We’ll also take some time to reflect on our years at BCSA and pray for the many people who have been part of our church while we’ve met at 176 Wattle Street, Malvern.
